Where the sea reaches out to the sky.

Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

Somerset – let me take you to the beach Between St Mary’s and the Old Fort Where the sea reaches out as far as the sky. There is a tiny path which takes you through the dunes. The sand drifts through your toes. As you walk on firmer ground, moisture from the incoming tide forms ripples in the sands. You can hear the distant ebb and flow, ebb and flow. Your feet meet the rhythm of the tide. The heart beats its own time, and your breath tunes to the rhythm of the sea. Darkness begins to fall. A breeze springs up, and you feel the catch of the salt spray in the air as the wind makes its own music.

Darkness continues. It’s time to return to the safety behind the dunes. The music continues. Looking up, the sky is filled with a myriad of stars joining the dance.

You are not alone. You are walking with the Maker. As you bow down to acknowledge His presence, darkness fills the air.

Soon will come the light of another day. The peace will be broken by the laughter of children, by fishermen, the clattering of the burger man as he puts up his stall.

But you have met with the Maker who offers you the strength to face another day
