What makes you feel nostalgic?
Oh joy, oh rapture! Thus is the Christmas of all Christmases. The Christmas designed to warm my heart – and my neck!
It was only a small present. The usual wrapping paper bedecking such an enticing interior. Soft as a feather, squidgy to touch. Fingers traversed the entirety of the package as I felt for the sellotaped seams.
Aahhh – found one. The unfolding and the tearing began. The gift finally escaped the parcel
All I could ever have wanted! The colours did not seem as bright today as they had all those years ago. But there it was. Round my neck – the same as I had seen it round the neck of my very favourite Doctor Who – my very own Tom Baker!
There I was – transported back to adventures with the Daleks- travelling to planets who know where in an ancient blue telephone box!
Nostalgia – that sweet warm fuzzy feeling you experience when travelling through your memory banks to the lands of long ago.
All I need now are those magical jelly beans. My dreams would all be realised. That scarf makes me feel warmer than I could ever have imagined….
